Bryn Sherman has joined the Board of the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Foundation (USABS), a body that strives to raise funds for athletes representing the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation.

Sherman serves as a principal at law firm Offit Kurman's office and is an expert in risk management and strategic planning.

She has more than 30 years of experience representing public corporations and large private entities and joins the Foundation with the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics less than three months away.

The newest addition to the organisation's Board is aiming to help American athletes achieve podium finishes next February and at future major events.

"I feel privileged and honoured to take on this Board position at such an exciting time for USABS," said Sherman.

"I look forward to contributing to further the Board’s strategic mission and make a positive impact for these tremendous athletes."

Fran Kirley, the chairman of the Foundation, believes Sherman will prove an excellent addition to the Board.

"We are thrilled for Bryn to join the board and add her strategic oversight to our Foundation efforts," Kirley commented.

"As we look forward to Beijing and beyond, this is a critical time for our foundation and athletes, and we are confident that the addition of Bryn will support our efforts and mission significantly."

Sherman joins Steve Yelland - who is the founder of Reich & Tang Oscar Tang, the former President and chief executive of Virginia Commerce Bancor Inc and Virginia Commerce Bank Peter Converse, and the President and chief executive of JF Rohrbaugh and Co - on the Foundation Board.
