Canada's two taekwondo players to feature at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been announced as panellists for an upcoming event on gender equality in the sport.

Skylar Park and Yvette Yong are among the five speakers confirmed for the panel, which is due to be held online on October 21.

Yong competed in the women's under-49-kilogram division at Tokyo 2020, while Pan American Games runner-up Park was knocked out in under-57kg quarter-finals.

Barbara Marian, who refereed at Tokyo 2020 when taekwondo made its Paralympic debut and chairs the Taekwondo Canada Referee Committee, will also speak.

Online poomsae national team members Lois Fong and Michell Ge are the other two panellists.

There is also due to be a question-and-answer session.
