Holders Italy are one of four teams that remain unbeaten at the FIVB Boys’ Under-19 World Championship in Tehran, Iran.

In Pool B holders Italy defeated Belarus 25-21, 25-16, 25-17 at the Azadi Sports Complex, to sit top of the pool with nine points.

The other match in the pool saw Brazil come from a set down to defeat Colombia 27-29, 25-12, 25-12, 26-24, a result which puts the Brazilians second in the pool with six points.

In Pool C Russia also won a third successive game beating Cameroon in straight sets 25-17, 26-24, 25-19 to sit top with nine points.

The other match in the pool saw Bulgaria overcome Belgium 32-30, 25-17, 25-15, a result that saw them go second with six points.

In Pool D Argentina also made it three wins from three by defeating Cuba in four sets by a 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13 scoreline.

Argentina sit top of the pool with 12 points, which includes their walkover win against the Dominican Republic, with Germany their closest challengers with six points.

In the other match in the pool Germany received an automatic walkover victory against the Dominican Republic, who withdrew from the tournament before its start due to exceptional circumstances.

In Pool A Poland defeated India 25-14, 25-15, 25-18 to top the pool with nine points.

The other match saw Nigeria receive an automatic walkover victory against Guatemala, who also withdrew before the tournament after a coronavirus outbreak among their squad.

Behind Poland, Iran and India both sit on six points in the pool.
