Home favourite and Romanian 12th seed Irina Bulmaga remains the only player with a 100 per cent record after four games at the European Individual Women's Chess Championship in Iasi, defeating the top seed Nino Batsiashvili of Georgia.

The world number 16 Batsiashvili could not maintain her winning run, finally falling to a 3-1 record.

She has been overtaken by fourth seed Gunay Mammadzada and Armenian 15th seed Elina Danielian, who drew today, remaining unbeaten with three wins and a draw each.

Polish 19th seed Jolanta Zawadzka drew as well to stay on the same record as Mammadzada and Danielian.

Zawadzka's opponent second seed Bela Khotenashvili of Georgia, moves on to three points to go level with her top seed compatriot.

Poland's 20th seed Monika Socko moved on to 3.5 with a win over the third seeded Georgian, Lela Javakhishvili who remains on 2.5.

Ukrainian fifth seed Anastasia Bodnaruk suffered another loss too, and her opponent Armenian 23rd seed Anna M. Sargsyan's victory moves her on to 3.5.

Ukrainian 10th seed Iulija Osmak defeated Italian 27th seed Marina Brunello to go on to 3.5 too, while wins for 16th seed Laura Unuk of Slovenia and Russian 13th seed Aleksandra Maltsevskaya moved them on to the same score.

Unuk won against Belarusian 84th seed Yana Ilyuchyk while Maltsevskaya defeated 29th seed Viktoria Radeva of Bulgaria.
