Serbia secured the top spot in Pool B at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Women's Under-20 World Championship with wins over hosts Belgium and the Dominican Republic.

This ensured top seeding before the final matches tomorrow as Puerto Rico were forced to withdraw from the competition after several members tested positive for COVID-19.

Serbia defeated Belgium 25-17, 25-10, 25-15 in the opening game of the pool, putting them in prime position to win their group.

They sealed top position in the pool with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-17 win over the Dominican Republic.

In Pool A, Brazil defeated Argentina 26-24, 26-24, 26-24 on day one, while The Netherlands thrashed Rwanda 25-6, 25-6, 25-6.

The second day saw Brazil add a second win, defeating Rwanda 25-10, 25-15, 25-2.

The Netherlands won their second match as well against Argentina 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Turkey were clear winners in their opening Pool C tie with Thailand defeating them 25-20, 25-18, 25-19, while the United States won in four sets over Russia 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Day two saw the US win again 25-15, 25-8, 25-13 against Thailand.

Finally, Poland defeated Belarus 25-14, 25-19, 25-17 on day one in Pool D while Italy won 25-15, 25-19, 25-15 against Egypt.

Italy added a second win over Poland 25-16, 10-25, 25-21, 25-9.
