The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) has concluded a series of anti-doping webinars.

The governing body announced in May that players entering its competitions would be required to take part in anti-doping webinars and educational workshops.

Athletes active between 2019 and this year were required to attend the webinars and workshops.

The International Testing Agency (ITA) hosted an anti-doping webinar series over a month period.

Simultaneous translation was provided from English to Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.

The webinar series was held from May 26 to June 23.

FITEQ said topics included an introduction to anti-doping, as well as the doping control process.

Medications, supplements, the prohibited list and therapeutic use exemptions were also covered.

The webinars also saw presentations on the principles and values of clean sport, as well as out-of-competition testing.

FITEQ said the webinars formed part of its long-term partnership with the ITA, which was signed in 2019.

The governing body was approved as a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code in September 2020.

FITEQ’s anti-doping framework was also adopted last year, following support from the World Anti-Doping Agency, the ITA and the Global Association of International Sports Federations.
