The Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association has hosted an open meeting to discuss its preparations for Birmingham 2022.

Athletes, coaches, team managers, sports administrators and other interested parties were invited to the gathering at the IOM Sports Institute.

Topics covered included the Birmingham 2022 selection process and venues.

Isle of Man have won 12 medals in their Commonwealth Games history, with three of them gold.

The island's best performance came at Melbourne 2006 where cyclist Mark Cavendish won the men's scratch race and shooters Trevor Boyles and Dave Walton claimed a bronze in the men's trap pairs.

A group of 31 athletes were sent to Gold Coast 2018 last time out, with shooter Tim Kneale claiming silver in the men's double trap.

With a population of just under 85,000, the Isle of Man is a crown dependency in the Irish Sea, located between Great Britain and Ireland.

Local affairs are administered from the capital, Douglas, by the Council of Ministers, but defence and foreign affairs are the responsibility of the British Government.
