South Korea dominated the Asian Taekwondo Championships in Beirut by taking home six gold medals at Nouhad Naufal Stadium.

Winners from the sport's birthplace included reigning world champion Bae Jun-seo who won the men's under-54 kilograms division.

Former world junior champion Kim Seok-bae was triumphant in the men's under-74kg and the men's under-87kg crown went to Lee Seung-hwan.

Kim Yu-jin, a former world champion, won the women's under-57kg title for South Korea and Myeong Mi-na was the women's under-73kg winner.

At heavyweight, South Korea's Yoon Do-hee won the women's over-73kg title.

Uzbekistan ended with a haul of three gold medals including Niyaz Pulatov's men's under-63kg victory.

Charos Kayumova won the women's under-53kg and Feruza Sadikova followed suit in the women's under-62kg.

Iran and Jordan collected a pair of titles each with the former's haul including men's heavyweight gold for Sajjad Mardani at over-87kg.

The Iranians also won the very lightest class as Negar Esmaeili was crowned women's under-46kg champion.

Jordan celebrated Saleh Al-Sharabaty's win in the men's under-80kg and Julyana Al-Sadeq's success in the women's under-67kg.

Chinese Taipei, Afghanistan and Vietnam were the other countries to top podiums in Lebanon's capital.

Huang Yu-jen won the men's under-68kg gold for the Taiwanese, with Afghanistan's Mohsen Rezaee triumphant in the men's under-58kg.

Trương Thị Kim Tuyền of Vietnam won the women's under-49kg division.
