GAMMA is based on the principle of equality and mutual respect between all affiliated Member Federations, without prejudice against race, religion or internal politics. 

There are currently 110 Member Federations, which together with GAMMA are responsible for the administration of men's and women's mixed martial arts.

This includes the management of match conditions and officials for MMA, and the staging of National Championships, Continental Championships and World Championships for men, women, and juniors. 

GAMMA works alongside each of its Member Federations, which are the sole authority for MMA in their respective countries.

The bodies strive to develop and promote the sport, while ensuring structures, rules, and regulations are in place to allow fair and inclusive competition.
