The United States swept the gold medals on offer in the bouldering events at the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Cup in Salt Lake City.

Sean Bailey secured the men's honours and Natalia Grossman topped the women's podium as the hosts enjoyed a successful final day of the competition.

Grossman sealed her second straight World Cup triumph after achieving the perfect score of four tops and four zones in the minimum number of attempts.

The American, who won last weekend's World Cup at the same venue, finished ahead of world champion and Tokyo 2020 gold medal favourite Janja Garnbret of Slovenia.

Brooke Raboutou added another medal for the US by finishing third.

Victory in the men's event handed Bailey the first World Cup gold medal of his career.

The 25-year-old managed two tops and four zones to end the competition in first place, with Japan’s Kokoro Fujii and Tomoa Narasaki taking silver and bronze, respectively.

"I never thought this day would come, and it’s crazy that it came," said Bailey.

"We had some pretty tough boulders, and I wanted to find some success on something again."
