France's Oceanne Marianne Muller was a decisive winner in the women's 10-metre air rifle contest, scoring 251.5 to equal the European record and break the European junior record at the European Shooting Championship in Osijek in Croatia.

Muller's best equalled the European record of Laura-Georgeta Coman and bested the European junior record.

Jessie Kaps of Belgium won the silver medal with 250.2, having held off Italian Sofia Ceccarello by 0.4, who instead won bronze.

Hungary's Istvan Peni claimed the gold medal in the men's 10m air rifle final, after facing Israel's Sergey Richter in a shoot-off. 

After a back-and-forth tussle, both ended the competition with 251.3 points - however Peni stood top of the podium after winning the shoot-off.

Peni pulled back a deficit in the last two rounds to level the score in the elimination stage.

Russia's Vladimir Maslennikov won the bronze medal, holding off Miran Maricic of Croatia by 0.6 points.

Juraj Tuzinsky of Slovakia then won the men's 10m air pistol, finishing far ahead of Russia's Vadim Mukhametyanov on 241.0 to 239.4. 

Robin Walter of Germany narrowly missed the final shoot-off, finishing just behind the Russian for bronze.

In the women's 10m air pistol, gold went to Carina Wimmer of Germany with 242.3 points.

Silver went to Russia's Vitalina Batsarashkina with 242.0, with the top two well clear of the bronze medallist Celine Goberville of France who scored 218.6.
