El Salvador and the United States have qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, following semi-final victories at the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Beach Soccer Championship in Costa Rica.

The Americans beat Mexico 5-2, before El Salvador saw off semi-final debutants Guatemala.

Reaching the final of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship earns a World Cup berth, with the global tournament due to be played in Russia later this year.

Wilfredo Ramos scored a brace for the Americans, while El Salvador had five different scorers and also benefitted from a Guatemala own-goal.

The US are set for a fifth sixth World Cup appearance, and El Salvador their fifth.

Before that the pair will clash in tomorrow's final in Alajuela.

The Americans were runners-up in 2019 and have won the tournament twice before, most recently in 2013 when they beat El Salvador in the final.

El Salvador's sole triumph came in 2009.
