Aleksandr Bondar's dominance in the men's 10-metre platform was in contrast to Germany's nail-biting win in the women's 3m synchronized springboard as diving events concluded at the European Aquatics Championships in Budapest.

Russia's Bondar amassed an impressive 564.35 points to win by more than 30, and proved to be a cut above the rest on the night.

Britain's Tom Daley, who won a 10m world title at this venue, the Duna Arena, in 2017, was second on 533.30.

Bondar's compatriot Viktor Minibaev placed third with 530.05.

The in women's 3m synchro, Germany's Lena Hentschel and Tina Punzel edged out Italian pair Elena Bertocchi and Chiara Pellacani by the smallest winning margin ever seen at the European Championships - 0.09 points.

The Germans finished on 307.29, the Italians 307.20.

It is Tina Punzel's second gold medal of the event.

Russian pairing Uliana Kliueva and Vitaliia Koroleva came third, 0.3 points ahead of Britain's Grace Reid and Katherine Torrence.
