British_swimmingNovember 12 - Head coach Szilveszter Fekete insists his British women's water polo team are up for a tough challenge as they resume their campaign in Budapest after a three week break.

Lying fifth after their opening six matches, the women are six points behind leaders ZF-Eger with a game in hand.

They take on Hungarian under-18 team Herakles Junior I before facing a tricky clash with third-placed BVSC-Zuglo – in red-hot form under former national team head coach Matyas Petrovics – today.

"Neither game is easy but we know we can perform well," said former Hungarian international Fekete.

"Herakles have some good maturing girls and BVCS have a few players that have trained with the senior Hungarian team but did not play at this year's European Championships.

"They've appointed Matyas Petrovics, which is working well for them, but we have a strong team with quality players so we're hoping for good results in both matches."

The Great Britain team bound for Budapest has a familiar feel with centre forward Angie Winstanley-Smith looking to add to her 22 goals already this season.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Walsall centre back Claire Nixon – who turns 18 on Sunday (November 14) – will be keen to impress on her senior international debut.
