World number one Nour El Sherbini of Egypt will face American Amanda Sobhy in the final of the CIB Black Ball Squash Open, after both players won their semi-final matches in Cairo.

El Sherbini beat New Zealand’s Joelle King, the seventh seed, in straight games - 11-5, 11-8, 11-4 in 35 minutes.

El Sherbini has been runner-up in the tournament in 2019 and 2020 and will be looking to go one better in tomorrow’s final of the Professional Squash Association World Tour Platinum event.

Her opponent will be sixth seed Sobhy, with the American coming from a game down to beat eighth seed Salma Hany, and prevent an all Egyptian final.

Hany won the first game 12-10, before Sobhy found her groove during the second and reeled off three straight games - 11-7, 11-2, 11-7, to secure the four-game win in 45 minutes.

The final is scheduled to take place on the Glass Court in Cairo tomorrow, starting at 8.30pm local time.
