A delegation from the International Boxing Association (AIBA) has visited Kielce in Poland to inspect the venue, hotels and logistical organisation for the upcoming Youth World Boxing Championships.

Scheduled to be held in Kelce from April 10 to 24, the Organising Committee has been working on implementing COVID-19 safety measures for months to ensure the tournament can go ahead with minimal risk.

"The advancement of organisation work will allow the AIBA Youth Men's and Women's World Boxing Championships in Kielce to be held at a high level," said Organising Committee managing director Roman Slagiowski.

Slagiowski also revealed that teams can practice during the training camp before the Championships.

Poland is set to host the 2021 Cetniewo Youth Camp in the Central Sport Centre - Olympic Preparation Centre in Władysławowo.

Cetniewo is a district within Władysławowo.

The 10-day long training camp will allow youth national teams to train together before the tournament.

"For interested federations, we have prepared the opportunity to participate in a training camp at the Olympic Preparation Centre in Cetniewo from March 31 to April 10," added Slagiowski.

"This camp will be held under security conditions in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol."

All team members must show a negative COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction test no longer than 72 hours upon arrival.

The Championships will be held under the motto "Protect yourself and others at all times", noting safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the Boxing Youth World Championships for men and women were moved to 2021, initially scheduled for November 2 to 9.

The tournament is set to be held at the Hala Legionow Sports Complex, which can seat 3,000 fans.
