Norway's Robert Johansson won the third individual International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup event of his career on the final day of competition in Lahti in Finland.

Johansson was victorious in yesterday's team contest, but this is his first solo win since the 2018-2019 season, when he won in Oslo.

Today, Johansson finished with a total of 265.9 points to hold off German pair of Markus Eisenbichler and Karl Geiger, who won silver and bronze respectively with totals of 264.2 and 264.0.

Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud, the overall World Cup leader, finished just off the podium in fourth and Austria's Stefan Kraft was a distant fifth.

Eisenbichler and Granerud both jumped further than Johansson in both rounds, but received lower overall scores.

Granerud led at the halfway stage, having jumped 132.5 metres to score 144.1 points, but a second-jump score of just 119.4 spoiled his chances of victory.

Jumping 128.5m and 126.4m, the consistent Johansson scored 133.8 and 132.1.

Johansson's final advantage over Eisenbichler was 1.7 points.

Johansson's win puts him up to fourth in the overall FIS Ski Jumping World Cup standings, on 535 points.

Three-time Olympic champion Kamil Stoch is third, on 661, and second-place Eisenbichler has 796.

Granerud has 1,006 points, giving him a lead of 210 despite today's disappointment.

The World Cup circuit now heads to Willingen in Germany.
