Long-serving President Robert Rauch will remain in charge of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) for another two years following his re-election.

Rauch was President from 1992 to 1994 before returning to the role in 2011 and has been in post ever since.

The election was conducted online, with 45 members with a total of 127 votes using their ballots between November 1 and December 1.

Needing 80 votes, Rauch polled 124 to extend his spell in charge of the organisation and become the longest serving WFDF President over a consecutive period.

"I feel truly honoured that the WFDF membership has entrusted me to serve another term as their President," said Rauch.

"WFDF will be relying upon its experienced Board of Directors, capable staff, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic flying disc community to confront the challenges and opportunities in 2021 and beyond.

"While the COVID pandemic is currently in its massive second wave and the situation feels quite dire, the introduction of effective and safe vaccines challenges us to initiate and manage the transition back to a more normal level of activities, all while keeping within health and safety guidelines.

"We are extremely pleased to have maintained the number of women on the Board at seven out of the eighteen members as we continue to pursue gender equality in our governance structure as well as in our competitive events.

"I also want to thank outgoing Board members Amandine Constant and Guts chair Steve Taylor for their long-standing contribution to the development of Flying Disc sports.”

The WFDF confirmed the make up of its Board with Thomas Griesbaum remaining as secretary after securing 123 votes.

Griesbaum served as a WFDF Board member from 2001 to 2006 before rejoining as secretary in 2011.

The German is also vice-president of the European Flying Disc Federation after a 10-year spell as President of the organisation.

Charlie Mead, Rob McLeod, Adam Swanson and David Raflo have also secured places on the WFDF Board.

The Ultimate Committee members include Will Deaver, Simon Hill and Rueben Berg - who gained enough votes at the election.
