Norway celebrated victory in the team competition as the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Flying World Championships concluded at Planica in Slovenia.

The Norwegian team of Daniel-André Tande, Johann André Forfang, Robert Johansson and Halvor Egner Granerud found themselves in second place after the first round of the final.

The defending champions' tally of 862.9 left them trailing Germany, with newly-crowned individual world champion Karl Geiger helping them to a first-round score of 874.

Norway’s quartet remained consistent in the second round, with Granerud contributing 250.1 to their score with his final jump.

Granerud was able to reverse the medal positions to Geiger from the individual competition, with the world champion’s last effort of 216.3 coming up short for Germany.

Norway were left celebrating winning gold with a total of 1,727.7, after their second-round score of 864.8.

The German team of Geiger, Constantin Schmid, Pius Paschke and Markus Eisenbichler - the individual bronze medalist - managed 834.5 in their second round.

The quartet were left settling for second place on 1,708.5.

Poland completed the podium places.

Their team of Piotr Żyła, Andrzej Stękała, Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki finished as the bronze medallists on 1,665.5.
