Ivan Todorov thanked members of the Serbian Judo Federation for the "trust" given to him for the next Olympiad after his re-election as President.

Todorov was re-elected for a sixth term at the helm of the Serbian Judo Federation. 

"I am grateful for the trust that the members gave to me for the next Olympiad," he said. 

"Everyone should keep working hard and the results will follow, but the most important thing is that we all stay healthy in these difficult times."

The 53-year-old's next term is set to include the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which were postponed to July 23 to August 8 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

It will also feature the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Milovan Bratic was also re-elected as President of the Serbian Judo Federation Executive Board. 

The new composition of the Board comprises Miroljub Blagojevic, Milan Mijalkovic, Miomir Mrvaljevic, Svetlana Vajnberger Mihelcic, Milan Srdanovic, Bogdan Sujica, Dragan Spasic, Boban Zivkovic and Nenad Rokvic.

Todorov was a judoka before he became a sports official, featuring in the men's 86 kilogram event at the Seoul 1988 Summer Olympics. 

He has also worked for the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2018. 

Serbia is yet to win an Olympic medal in judo.
