Australia, Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia clinched their respective regional conference titles during the first weekend of this year's International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Esports Open.

Australia triumphed in the Southeast Asia/Oceania Conference, while Ivory Coast reigned supreme in Africa and Saudi Arabia topped the standings in the Middle East.

The Philippines finished first in the Southeast Asia/Oceania Conference but were beaten 2-1 by Australia in the best-of-three grand final.

Australia lost the opening game 76-45 before recovering to win 62-54 and 69-54 to secure their second successive title in the region.

Ivory Coast won both matches in their head-to-head battle with Gabon for the Africa Conference crown.

A 61-19 victory for Ivory Coast was followed by a similarly dominant 61-14 victory.

Saudi Arabia ended the Middle East Conference with a 6-1 record after recording three more wins in their clash with Lebanon.

The Saudi Arabian team proved too strong for their Lebanese opponents as they triumphed 99-72, 75-69 and 82-75.

The second edition of the FIBA Esports Open continues with the European Conference, set to run from December 12 to 13.
