Skeleton powerhouse Germany has named its squad for the new World Cup season.

Three men and three women have been selected for the flagship circuit after the German Championships took place in Winterberg.

Reigning world champions Christopher Grotheer and Tina Hermann were already assured of their places with Felix Keisinger and world bronze medallist Alexander Gassner also making the men's team.

Defending World Cup champion Jacqueline Lölling and Hannah Neise complete the women's squad.

Grotheer and Hermann both struck gold at the 2020 World Championships on home ice in Altenberg.

There is no place in the German men's squad for world silver medallist Axel Jungk, who must settle for competing on the second-tier Intercontinental Cup circuit.

Gassner has recently been crowned as German champion, while he won the mixed team gold at the World Championships alongside Lölling, who is an Olympic silver medallist.

The new International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup season is due to open in Sigulda in Latvia on November 20.
