The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan has helped to organise an international judo training camp which involves five different countries.

Judoka from Georgia, France, Kyrgyzstan and Egypt have joined athletes from the host nation for the event, which began on November 4 in Uzbek capital Tashkent.

It will run until November 24, with the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan also involved in the organisation.

Four of the five Georgian athletes who have attended are ranked highly in the battle for places at next year's rearranged Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The camp is taking place as sport works out how to return safely amid coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

Uzbekistan has won six Olympic medals in judo since making its debut at the Summer Games at Atlanta 1996.

Their haul consists of two silvers and four bronze.

Tashkent also hosts a Grand Prix competition as part of the International Judo Federation's World Tour.
