An mobile app launched by the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) to provide news and information is now available on Apple's App Store.

Players and fans who use iPhones or iPads will be able to read teqball news, view tournament results and check FITEQ world rankings on the app.

It also allows athletes to create a personal profile and register for official teqball competitions, creating an easy way of entering events.

"This app is an essential download for all existing and future teqball players and fans, as well as sports enthusiasts around the world who want to learn more about the world's fastest growing sport," said FITEQ IT director Laszlo Bardy.

"Over three million teqball lovers engage with the content on our digital channels every day, so it was a natural step to develop a dedicated app for our passionate online audience."

The app is expected to be added to the Google Play Store later this month.

FITEQ launched its interactive app SQILLER globally earlier this year.

The digital football game allows teqball fans from around to world to practice their skills using only a ball and a mobile phone.

It merges artificial intelligence technology with teqball skills to create an "active esport".
