Three International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) coaches have left their role with the governing body to join National Federations.

The coaches had worked with the IBSF as part of the organisation's development programme and have now secured positions with emerging countries in the two sports.

Joska Le Conté of the Netherlands, a former skelton athlete who finished sixth at the 2016 European Championships, is working with compatriot Kimberley Bos and the Swiss skeleton squad competing on the IBSF Intercontinental Cup circuit.

European silver medallist Elfje Willemsen, sixth in the two-woman bobsleigh event at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, has swapped the IBSF for Canada, where she is the technical driving coach for bobsledders.

Former Romanian bobsleigh pilot Dorin Grigore has joined a coaching project in South Korea from the IBSF.

IBSF development coordinator Manfred Maier said the three coaches moving into different roles within the sports shows the success of the coaching programme.

"We are proud that all three strengthened the IBSF team after finishing their active careers, found their way into the role of coach so quickly and are now in demand internationally," Maier said.
