International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball has invited countries to apply to host its major events due to be held between 2022 and 2025.

The organisation has set a deadline of February 28 2021 for bids to be submitted for competitions including Continental Championships in Africa, the Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe, set to take place in 2023 and 2025.

IBSA Goalball is also looking for venues for Youth World Championships that are scheduled for 2023 and 2025.

"We are inviting bids from IBSA members in good standing that want to be part of the sport’s history - hosting high quality tournaments that will be remembered for years to come," said IBSA Goalball Committee chair Kari Rasanen.

"As we will be entering the next Paralympic cycle in 2022 it is important we keep the momentum going and build on our successes.

"We are looking for organisers that have a passion for goalball and want to showcase the sport in their country, as well as provide the perfect platform for international athletes to shine.

"We hope to move forward from this difficult year together, and setting out the calendar for the next five years with some exciting events is the perfect way to do that."

IBSA Goalball said it "has the right to negotiate with individual organisers without using the normal bidding process" after the deadline has passed.
