Zlatko Mateša has been unanimously re-elected President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO).

Mateša has lead the HOO since 2002.

HOO elections were held during the organisation's Annual General Meeting, with Josip Čop voted to remain secretary general.

Both Mateša and Čop will serve four-year terms.

Željko Jerkov, Damir Martin, Sanda Čorak and Morana Paliković Gruden were re-elected vice-presidents.

Mateša, 71, is a former Prime Minister of Croatia, holding that office from 1995 to 2000.

He is additionally a European Olympic Committees (EOC) Executive Committee member.

Mateša was awarded the EOC Order of Merit Award in 2017 to recognise his contribution to to the founding of the European Games.

The Croatian official acted was vice-chair of both the Baku 2015 Coordination Commission and Minsk 2019 Coordination Commission.
