Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) has announced a strategic partnership agreement with IQONIQ, which will now manage the sport's official fan engagement platform.

In a multi-year deal, the new relationship will begin immediately and run over the next three seasons.

Since its inception in 1992, BSWW has organised more than 300 international events in more than 50 countries all over the world, reportedly achieving yearly audiences above 250 million households.

With launch of the platform due by the end of the year, IQONIQ will work to provide entertainment for fans with features such as exclusive content, rewards, an in-app game, special merchandise and ticketing offers through a loyalty programme.

IQONIQ already works with the likes of La Liga, Euroleague Basketball and Formula One team McLaren Racing, as well as football clubs such as French sides Olympique Marseille and AS Monaco, Spain's Real Sociedad, England's Crystal Palace and Russia's FC Zenit.

"Our task is to promote and develop beach soccer and engaging with our fans is one of our main priorities, because they play an instrumental role in the sport," said Joan Cusco, BSWW President.

"Beach soccer is a young, fresh and vivid sport, and our relationship with our fans is something we truly value.

"This is why the agreement with IQONIQ is so important for us.

"It opens a whole new set of possibilities to relate with our fanbase, to offer new experiences and to strengthen our communication with the global beach soccer family at a whole new level."

BSWW hosted the Euro Beach Soccer League in Portugal this month, which was won by the hosts after a thrilling final with Switzerland.
