The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has looked to focus on mental health bringing musician Cody Simpson together with Tokyo 2020 Olympics hopefuls in September for Wellbeing Week.

Scheduled to take place from September 7 to 11, the AOC's initiative released an official lineup of 12 athletes and experts who will look to improve the mental health of its audience over the five days.

These live streams will showcase different themes daily including Olympic swimming champion Cate Campbell and surfer Owen Wright discussing the importance of your mental well-being.

Rio 2016 silver medal winningt sailor Lisa Darmanin will team up with Simpson, a World Wildlife Fund Ocean Ambassador, to share their mutual love for environmental protection.

Indigenous hurdler Kyle Vander-Kuyp, 2011 US Open tennis champion Sam Stosur and Algerian-born runner Youcef Abdi will speak about the importance of loving your identity.

"My identity is so important to me as it lays the foundation of who I am," said Vander-Kuyp.

"I draw strength in the knowledge that my ancestry goes back to over 50,000 years and I am excited to share this as a part of the AOC's 2020 Wellbeing Week.

"I have come to realise well-being comes in different ways and forms and I am excited to gain insights from fellow Olympians talking about the importance of empowering your identity.

"No matter what life brings you and how it shapes you, you need to be true to yourself."

Other topics will look at improving your future and your friendships, with the latter being attended by snowboarder Belle Brockhoff.

"This is a crucial time to shine a spotlight on the importance of mental health," said AOC chief executive Matt Carroll.

"Like people right around the world, athletes are doing their best to adapt to the unprecedented challenges and disruption to daily life caused by this pandemic.

"Wellbeing Week will provide an opportunity for Olympians and experts to share their own journeys and passions away from sport to help inspire Australians to take steps to improve their own well-being."

These shows will be daily and hosted by water polo Olympian Amy Jones - and will also be streamed on the Australian Olympic Team's Facebook and YouTube channels.
