wheelchair rugby_10-10-11October 9 - Sweden's wheelchair rugby team qualified for the London 2012 Paralympic Games with a 49-42 win in the final of the European Championships against Britain in Nottwil, Switzerland.

With Britain qualified for next year as the Games host, previous champions Belgium booked their place for London with a 52-51 win over France in the third place play off, with their opponents also making it to London.

Sweden coach Marco Dispaltro immediately set his sights on claiming gold in London next year.

"If the players stay hungry, we'll be up for a medal in the Paralympics," he said.

"We have a great team with young players in a great mix with older, more experienced players.

"If the team stays hungry, we'll be able to fight for the medals."

There was disappointment for Germany though, who will miss out on the Paralympic Games for the first time after failing to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
