Rugby Europe has announced new dates for the postponed Women's Rugby Europe Championship 2020 fixtures and the Rugby World Cup 2021 European qualifiers.

Spain are set to feature in the two remaining games of the Europe Championship, which they will play at home against Russia on either October 24 or 25 and The Netherlands on October 31.

The winner of the Europe Championship will join Scotland, Ireland and Italy in the European qualifiers for the 2021 Women's Rugby World Cup.

All four teams will play a single round-robin tournament which is scheduled to be held on the weekends of December 5, 12 and 19.

A full schedule of fixtures and details will be announced in early November, following the conclusion of the Women's Rugby Europe Championship.

Scotland will face Italy in the first match on December 5 or 6, with both teams assured of a spot in the qualification tournament already.

Russia have already defeated The Netherlands in the Rugby Europe Championship so will advance if they beat Spain.

Seven teams have already qualified automatically for the 2021 Rugby World Cup through the previous edition of the tournament – hosts New Zealand, England, Australia, France, United States, Wales and Canada.

Two spots have since been filled by South Africa in the African qualifier and Fiji in the Oceania qualifier.

Kazakhstan, Japan and Hong Kong will compete for the Asia spot at the World Cup.

Samoa will also face Tonga in a match to decide who will make the repechage – with the same applying to a contest between Colombia and Kenya.

The repechage will feature four teams, with the winners of each match taking on the second-placed Asian and European teams in another round-robin tournament.
