Seventy-four teams in Eswatini have requested teqball tables as part of the International Federation of Teqball club development programme.

The programme provides National Federations with free Teq Lite tables and educational materials to aid the development of teqball.

Fifty-six free tables have been promised to the Teqball Eswatini Federation, with 74 teams signing up to receive one.

These include existing football teams, football academies and private companies.

Teams such as Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Swallows and Mbabane Highlanders have also benefited from the table loan programme, implemented by the Teqball Eswatini Federation at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Footballers have been able to use Teq One tables to improve skills and fitness while restrictive measures are in place.

Teqball Eswatini Federation President Mfanafuthi Taribo Bhembe revealed the sport was still making progress in the country, despite the pandemic.

"Our Federation has been making good, steady strides in the Kingdom amid COVID-19 non-sports activity," said Bhembe.

"We have kept football teams active behind closed doors and introduced teqball to the children at Vulamasango as a rehabilitation tool.

"We thank all those involved and the Teqball Eswatini Committee."
