Taekwondo Europe is to host an online colour belt event in late June for those aged from five-years-old upwards.

A preliminary event will take place on June 20 and 21 and will be followed by semi-finals and finals on June 27 and 28.

The governing body is organising the online tournament with its partners, martial arts company Kwon and media outlet masTaekwondo.

Four categories will exist for those under-18: kids one, kids two, cadet and junior.

There will also be age groups for under-30, under-40, under-50, under-60, under-65 and over-65.

All athletes who enter will perform two poomsae sequences, with the top 50 per cent of those from the preliminary round performing two again in the semi-finals.

The finals will see the top eight from each semi-final perform their final two sequences, with athletes asked to release a maximum of six videos – two for each round.

A live online athlete instruction session for video recordings and the upload process will be scheduled on June 10, while referees will go through practice sessions from June 6 until June 19 with breaks in between.
