The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) have completed all international registrations with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), protecting its name and logo.
The IFSC entered into the process of registering its name and logo as a trademark with the WIPO in 2017.
The objective was to better manage and protect the property rights attached to its name and logo, particularly within leading markets across the world.
International registrations are now complete after the final certificate was received from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Restrigations cover a number of countries including Australia, China, Japan, Russia and those in the European Union.
The WIPO, based in Geneva, ensures the development of a balanced and effective international intellectual property system.
