International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) has encouraged people to take part in a #StayTeqChallenge to remain active during the coronavirus pandemic.

The federation have highlighted the adaptability of teqball during the pandemic.

FITEQ praised the creativity of players without teqball tables at home, with several adapting furniture to use for teqball.

Israeli teqball star Ankona Maor, the youngest participant of the 2019 Teqball World Championships at the age of nine, was among those to adapt in the challenging environment.

FITEQ said it had sought to promote the originality of Maor and others by promoting the #StayTeqChallenge on social media.

The federation have also highlighted how both football and teqball players are using the sport to keep active.

Brazilian internationals Marcelo, David Luiz and Douglas Costa are among footballers to have shared videos of themselves playing teqball.

The videos come with the football season having ground to a halt amid Government lockdowns and travel restrictions, which are aimed at slowing the spread of coronavirus.

Teqball world singles and doubles champion Adam Blazsovics has also shared footage of his teqball skills.

Blazsovics’ doubles partner Csaba Banyik has also posted online.

FITEQ said the organisation are looking forward to seeing more innovative posts in the coming weeks.
