Taekwondo Canada's first-ever women competition development bursaries are now open for application.
The scheme is part of the governing body's efforts to increase the number of female coaches who are eligible, and ultimately selected for, international positions.
Eight bursaries are on offer and are worth $CAD2,000 (£1,100/$1,400/€1,300) each.
Selected coaches will attend a workshop in Parksville and must be actively coaching an athlete at junior black belt level or higher.
Athlete participation in Canada's international teams is currently 50 per cent female.
