The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has awarded its 2020 Youth Men's and Women's World Championships to Poland.

Bouts will take place at the Hala Legionow Sports Complex in Kielce, with space for 3,000 fans, between November 2 and 9.

Poland saw off competition from rival bidder Nicaragua to earn the right to host the event.

This year's Championships will follow on from the 2018 edition which was held in Hungarian capital Budapest.

"It was good to receive both bids from Poland and Nicaragua, that means a lot for youth boxing development in the world," said AIBA's Interim President Mohamed Moustahsane.

"I want to congratulate Poland with a successful bid and wish the Organising Committee to do a great job preparing such important competitions."

AIBA is currently in a period of turmoil after being stripped of involvement in Tokyo 2020 by the International Olympic Committee.

This was due to issues including governance, finances, refereeing and judging.

The governing body has established a Reform Commission which is focusing on amending the organisation's statutes, and a Marketing Commission tasked with stabilising the financial situation, as it looks to restore its reputation and status.

New statutes were due to be debated at the AIBA Congress in Budapest on March 29, but this has been delayed until June 20 because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The process for appointing a permanent President was also due to be discussed in Hungary, but Morocco's Moustahsane will now remain in his interim role.
