New Zealand extended their World Rugby Sevens Series lead with victory in the Canadian city of Vancouver.

The All Blacks reached the gold medal match courtesy of a dominant 17-5 quarter-final victory over Fiji and a 27-15 win over South Africa. 

Once in the final, they narrowly defeated Australia 17-14. 

It was their third title of the Series, following on from triumphs in Cape Town and Hamilton. 

They now lead the standings with 115 points, followed by South Africa on 104 and Fiji on 83. 

Canada delighted the home crowd with a bronze medal, overcoming South Africa 26-19 to complete the podium.

There are four more men's Series events scheduled this season, with the next round due to be in the English capital of London on May 23 and 24.
