Hosts Canada and France won their play-off matches at the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation Paralympic Qualifying Tournament to book their spots at Tokyo 2020.

The Canadians eased past Colombia 57-46 at Richmond Olympic Oval to end the competition with a perfect record of seven victories and no defeats.

It means the three-time Paralympic medallists can look to reach the podium again in the Japanese capital this year.

They won silver at Athens 2004 and London 2012 and bronze at Beijing 2008.

Canada also won the World Championship title in 2002.

France's progression was similarly comfortably as they thrashed Germany 54-30.

They lost once just throughout the tournament, against the Canadians.

Both countries have now completed the line-up for the Tokyo 2020 wheelchair rugby tournament.

They join hosts and world champions Japan, defending Paralympic gold medallists Australia, Denmark, Britain, United States and New Zealand.
