Arsenal Football Club have included a goal from their esports team in their goal of the month competition for February.

The north London team included 11 goals in the shortlist, which was published on social media.

Alongside strikes from the men's, women's and under-23 teams, the contenders featured a goal scored by esports player Alex Grd.

He was playing as Arsenal and Ivory Coast footballer Nicolas Pépé against Nantes in the eFootball.Pro League.

Fans can vote for their favourite goal on the club’s website.

Arsenal are one of 10 teams competing in the eFootball.Pro League, along with representatives of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus, Celtic, Monaco, Schalke, Nantes and Boavista.

Teams compete on virtual football game PES 2020, with only esports teams from professional football clubs playing against each other.

A final, decided by a best-of-five format, is scheduled for July 25.
