Norway earned gold in the team event at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup in Oslo.

Home favourites Johann Andre Forfang, Robert Johansson, Daniel Andre Tande and Marius Lindvik scored a total of 997.4 points to give Norway the victory. 

Germany finished with silver after Constantin Schmid, Pius Paschke, Stephan Leyhe and Karl Geiger achieved a score of 960.9. 

The bronze medal went to Slovenia's Ziga Jelar, Timi Zajc, Anze Lanisek and Peter Prevc on 954.2.

Despite finishing second, Germany's result saw them move up to the top of the Nations Cup standings with 4928 points. 

They displaced Austria on 4870, while Norway are third on 4375. 

Competition continues tomorrow with an individual final.
