Romania has been confirmed as the host country for this year's International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Blind Football European Championships Division Two.

The event, a qualifier for the 2020 IBSA Blind Football European Championships Division One, will be hosted by the National Paralympic Committee of Romania and the Romanian Association of the Blind, in close partnership with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF).

It will be staged at the training base of the FRF in Mogoșoaia, just outside the capital city of Bucharest.

Romania has played host and took the title on both previous occasions the IBSA Blind Football European Championships Division Two have been held.

Georgia finished second at the first edition in Bacău in 2017 and Greece were the runners-up at the second edition in Bucharest in 2019.

Following requests from potential participating countries, the IBSA Football Committee decided to bring forward the event by one year this time to allow teams that qualify for the 2020 IBSA Blind Football European Championships Division One to prepare properly.

Spain were crowned winners of the IBSA Blind Football European Championships Division One in September of last year after beating France in the final in Rome.
