Karlien Sleper won the fourth women's monobob event of the season in Park City in the United States.

The Dutch pilot clocked a combined 1min 49.20sec after her two runs at the Utah Olympic Park Track.

She was quickest down both times, recording 54.73sec and 54.47sec.

Australia's Ashleigh Werner finished second in 1:50.38 and third went to Vanessa D'Arpino of the US in 1:50.47.

Sleper, who has competed in athletics in field events, is the fourth different winner of the season.

Last time out in Königssee in Germany, China's Ying Qing and Australia's Breeana Walker could not be separated at the head of the field.

Russia's Anastasiia Makarova won in Lillehammer in Norway and Canada's Cynthia Appiah was quickest in Lake Placid in the US.

A second competition will now take place in Park City tomorrow.

Two more stops are then scheduled with La Plagne in France playing host on March 7 and 8.

The season will conclude in Lake Placid on April 3.
