Gymnasts will aim to boost their Tokyo 2020 prospects at the penultimate International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Trampoline World Cup competition in Baku.

Over 150 gymnasts from 30 countries are due to compete at the National Gymnastics Arena in Azerbaijan’s capital city.

The top four athletes at the end of the World Cup season will secure quota places for their nation in the men’s and women’s events.

The event has attracted numerous stars, including China’s multiple world champion Gao Lei.

The Rio 2016 bronze medallist is set to face competition from Belarus’ Olympic champion Uladzislau Hancharou and World Championship runner-up Ivan Litvinovich.

China’s Dong Dong will also be among the contenders for a podium spot.

Britain’s Bryony Page and Li Dan, who completed the podium places at Rio 2016, will also start the event.

Qualification is scheduled take place tomorrow in Baku followed by the finals on Sunday (February 16).
