Unbeaten New Zealand and Australia are set to face each other in the final group matches in the men and women's Oceania Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships after continuing their unbeaten record on day two in Ballarat in Australia.

In the men's competition, New Zealand had two matches to play, defeating Fiji and Tahiti in 5-0 wins with Australia's sole match coming with a victory over Tahiti at the Ken Kay Badminton Stadium.

In the other match, New Caledonia won 4-1 against Fiji with the result being the only one so far to not finish in a clean sweep over the two days of competition.

In the two women's matches, Australia disposed of New Caledonia and New Zealand did the same to Tahiti.

Australia and New Zealand are yet to play to each other in the men or women's competitions, but will do to conclude tomorrow, determining who wins each group.

Tahiti and New Caledonia are set to do the same to determine who finishes third in the groups.

The winning country will qualify for the Badminton World Federation Thomas Cup, the men's world team competition.
