Denmark will look to win their eighth straight men's titles at the Badminton Europe (BE) European Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships in Liévin in France to maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.

The world number seven and the European number one side have yet to lose a match in the men's team event since the inception of the biennial competition, winning in that category in all seven tournaments so far.

The defending champions should not have any problems making it through the groups with Wales, Latvia and Switzerland joining them in Group 1, but will likely face a challenge from other top teams, England, France and Germany who have constantly made the podium in past editions.

Russia and The Netherlands as well as Finland and Spain make up the other seeds in the men's competition.

Denmark have won 12 of the 14 gold medals so far in the competition with the women only losing two Championships and will look to win their fourth in a row.

The only time the nation have failed to make the podium was at the inaugural competition after finishing fourth.

Three-time podium winners Russia are seeded number two but have never won the competition unlike the first winners The Netherlands and 2012 winners Germany.

The Netherlands will feature in the Danes' group in what could be a tricky game, but the real threat comes from Russia, France and Germany as well as Bulgaria, Turkey and Spain who are all seeded.

The six-day tournament takes place from February 11 to 16 at the Stade Couvert Régional in the northern French town.
