Felix Keisinger of Germany and Anna Fernstädt of the Czech Republic are set to defend their titles at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Junior Championships in Winterberg.

The 22-year-old Keisinger was a bronze medallist in St Moritz in 2018, before earning gold last year in Königssee. 

He will be aiming to continue his run of podium finishes in the German resort, set to take on 31 other competitors in the men's skeleton. 

Twenty-three-year-old Fernstädt could win her third consecutive in the women's skeleton.

She triumphed in St Moritz representing Germany, switching allegiances to the Czech Republic the next year and topping the podium once again.

The women's race is set to feature 22 participants. 

The men's contest is scheduled for tomorrow, while the women's is due to take place on Sunday (February 9). 

Competition will also take place in the bobsleigh.  

The two-man and two-women races are happening tomorrow, while the four-man bobsleigh is expected to take place on Sunday.
