France's Perrine Laffont made it six wins from six as she triumphed at the latest International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Ski World Cup event in Deer Valley in the United States.

The French skier has yet to lose a World Cup event this season, having now won five moguls contests and one dual moguls event.

In her last ten World Cup matches, Laffont has won nine, with her last defeat being in the final event of last season’s moguls to Kazakhstan’s Yulia Galysheva.

This time her closest rival was Australia's Jakara Anthony who finished 0.84 points behind the Frenchwoman who triumphed with a score of 79.33.

Justine Dufour-Lapointe was third for the second successive World Cup event with a score of 78.14, 1.19 points behind.

Kazakhstan's Yuliya Galysheva, who finished runner-up behind Laffont in the previous two World Cup events, had a poor day at Deer Valley only managing a seventh placed finish.

She failed to qualify for the second run in the competition, struggling with her time and her turns.

In the men's event, Japan's Ikuma Horishima reversed the placings from last week in Calgary beating Mikael Kingsbury of Canada by 1.80 points.

Horishima triumphed with a score of 89.17 ahead of Kingsbury (87.37) and Felix Elofsson of Sweden, who finished almost eight points behind the top two.

The action continues later today with the dual moguls but as it stands Perrine Laffont leads the women's overall standings on 100 points, 19 ahead of Sweden's Sandra Naeslund.

In the men's event, Kingsbury still leads overall in the freestyle World Cup standings on a score of 93.33 points, eight ahead of Aaron Blunck of Canada, a halfpipe specialist.
