Laurine van Riessen won individual gold for the second successive day as the season-ending International Cycling Union (UCI) Track World Cup meeting reached its conclusion in Milton in Canada.

The Dutch rider won the women's sprint yesterday and added the keirin title today at Mattamy National Cycling Centre.

Van Riessen, who won an Olympic speed skating silver medal over 1,000 metres at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, was given a time of 11.231sec.

Spain's Helena Casas Roige claimed silver and bronze went to Madalyn Godby of the United States.

The Dutch added a second gold medal in the men's madison as Jan-Willem van Schip and Yoeri Havik triumphed.

Van Schip, the points race world champion, added to his gold from the men's omnium yesterday.

Britain's Ethan Hayter and Oliver Wood finished second, with France's Donavan Grondin and Benjamin Thomas third.

American cyclist Jennifer Valente won the women's omnium after scoring 134 points following the four disciplines.

The triple world champion and Olympic team pursuit silver medallist won the elimination race and was second in the points race as she ended the event strongly.

She began by coming third in the scratch race and fifth in the tempo race.

Letizia Paternoster of Italy won silver on 114 points and Ireland's Emily Kay took bronze on 102.

Poland's Mateusz Rudyk won the men's sprint title by beating France's Quentin Caleyron in straight rides.

France also won bronze as Rayan Helal beat Hong Kong's Tsz Chun Law, also 2-0.

With the six-leg World Cup season now complete, focus turns to the Track Cycling World Championships in Berlin between February 26 and March 1.
