Representatives of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Foundation have visited the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation (THF) Academy at the Azraq Refugee Camp in Jordan.
The visit came on the back of the THF signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ITTF in November 2018, to promote "peace and development activities".
Under the MoU, the organisations are working together to promote sport as a "powerful vehicle towards peace".
They have also joined forces to offer sport as part of development activities, such as the THF Academy at the Azraq Refugee Camp, and are exchanging "expertise, know-how, information and publications" to help spark further development.

The ITTF Foundation's slogan is "Solidarity through Table Tennis" and comprises five programmes, with many complementing each other.
Among them is one that focuses on supporting humanitarian projects, using table tennis for positive social outcomes.
World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue recently claimed activities at the THF went from "strength to strength" in 2019.
The South Korean announced plans to form the THF, which aims to teach taekwondo and stage educational programmes with refugees and displaced people around the world, in 2015.
